Dear Sunny,

We have decided to make going to Waffle House a new Christmas tradition for us.  You seemed to love munching and sucking the butter out of the toast.  I think this will easily become our favorite thing to do on Christmas.  

Dear Sunny,

You have been OBSESSED with lights ever since you were born.  You are fascinated with all types, colors, kinds, anything that has to do with a light you will stare at it for ever.  I know you are loving all these Christmas lights, and I bet this is going to soon become your favorite season.

Dear Sunshine,

You are totally a supported stander now!  You have been able to stand up already with us holding your hands for a while, but now you can stand up by just holding something else.  You are becoming a lot less wobbly and a lot more strong.  You can also pull yourself from a sitting position to standing if you are holding onto our hands.  You haven’t been able to do this while holding on to another object yet, but I for see this to be your next big thing.

Dear Sunny Rae,

Remember that one time when you were only a little bigger than my hand and you looked like a wrinkly grandpa?  You were the littlest baby and now you are so big.  I love you so much.

Well we went and saw Santa today!  You were not amused.  We put you in his lap and you instantly looked up at us like ‘why am I sitting with this scary man?’.  Then I snapped this photo right before you burst into tears.  Your little pouty face is so cutely sad.  At least you enjoyed grabbing onto his beard.

I usually won’t post a post like this on this tumblr but I know there are lots of mommys following me and it’s almost Christmas time.  So I crocethed these leg warmers for Sunny the other day and was wondering if anybody wanted to buy some from me?  I would sell a pair for $5 and I have a few other colors as well.  They would make a great Christmas present and are extremely cute.  So if you would like some or know somebody who would want some it would be super appreciated if you rebloged this and/or told your friends.  Just send me a message and I’ll give you more details on colors and sizes and such.

We gave into letting you eat solids.  First solid food = green beans mixed with boob milk!!! We were going to wait until you were a little older but every time we eat you just give us the evil stare down.  Also you have been very very reluctant to breast feeding lately which I think is a sign that you are ready for solids.  I have to say it was THE cutest thing ever!  You were so fucking stoked and loved green beans so much.  You kept smiling all adorable like and trying to grab the spoon and shove it in your mouth.  I’m excited to start this new solid food adventure with you.

Dear Sunny,

This photo accurately represents the past week of your life.  Every time mine or daddys fingers are in your reach you grab them and shove them right in your mouth, along with various other objects like sleeves, blankets, and toys.  I haven’t seen any of those little teethers break the gum yet but I do however see where 2 of your top ones are coming in.  Your bottom gums still look fine, but the top gums are a little rigged and look like they are going to break through first.  I also can see like a little square imprint on your 2 top teeth like they are pushing on your gums pretty hard while they are starting to come down.  So I guess this means the teething process is beginning little one.  You seem to already hate it so I hope that it doesn’t get any worse for you.

Your first Halloween !!!  You were a little skeleton and I dressed up as a skeleton too just for funsies.  We went to the downtown area at mimi’s house because all the stores were just handing out candy and such which was fun.  You were probably the youngest little trick-or-treater there and some people were reluctant to give you candy knowing that you weren’t the one going to be eating it.  Either way I wanted to still celebrate Halloween with you because it was your first one so I think even if you can’t eat the candy you still had a lovely time (which I know you did because you didn’t cry the whole time).  You even held your own trick-or-treat bag for some of the time.  So thank you Sunny Rae for the awesome candy and next year I will make up for it by letting you eat your own candy.

Yesterday was your daddy’s 21st birthday!  I think having you around was the best present he could of ever asked for.

Dear Sunny,

Today we packed up some lunch and got in the car to head out for a picnic in the park.  Well our stupid car wouldn’t start so your awesome dad helped make a make shift park.  He grabbed up a rope and found a piece of wood and made a swing.  Then we sat on our blanket and played and ate our taquitos.  We even got to play with the neighbors dog Chili.  It was way cooler than the actual park anyways.  Way to go dad!
