Dear Sunny Rae,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have my first mothers day.  You are the most amazing little girl in the whole entire world and I can only hope that you think I am the most amazing mom that I could ever be to you.  You have taught me so much just in these 10months about being a mom and I know that you will keep teaching me everything I need to know.  You are so amazing and I could not be more proud to be your mom.  I love you so so so much. 

P.S.  I hope you like the picnic we are packing for you today!

Dear Sunny Rae,

Happy 10 month old birthday little girl.  You are getting so big and I wish mommys camera would hook up to the computer so I could post photos for you.  You are starting to get more and more hair and your top tooth is poking right on through.  You are babbling so much and can say mama, dada, baba, and a ton of other sounds that I haven’t quite figured out what they mean yet.  You are almost standing on your own and you can walk really good if you are holding our hands.  Only 2 more months until your 1 year birthday little girl…wow that went by really fast don’t you think?  Slow down on the growing for me ok?  I love you so much Sunshine and I hope you have the most amazing 10 month birthday any kid could ever have.  I love you.

Dear Sunny Rae,

Sometimes in life, bad things happen to good people.  Sometimes things happen that are not as we expected and not the way that they are at all planned to be.  Some things are really confusing and I know some things are very hard to understand.  You are the strongest little girl I know and you are doing so good with the situation that we have been thrown into.  Stay strong Sunny; I am trying my hardest to stay strong for you even though it is so hard and confusing right now.  You are doing so wonderful, you really are.  I know it’s hard and I know it’s different and I know it’s not what we want to happen but sometimes things just happen and that’s just the way it has to be.  Just please know that I love you more than anything in this whole entire world and that everything is going to be ok.  Everything will be ok little girl, I promise.

Dear Sunny Rae,

You are so smart!  I just wanted to let you know.  You can now do so so so many things.  You can clap, wave hello, and do bye-bye!  We may start teaching you baby sign language because I know you would catch on so fast.  You also don’t like puree foods very much so daddy rigged you up a bumbo tray so you can explore more when you eat and get less dog hair in your food when you throw it around.  You are so good with your hands.  Smartest baby award goes to you little girl.  I love you.

Dear Sunshine,

You have been trying to walk so hard the past couple days.  You will just stand up and then start moving your feet one after the other.  I am very excited to watch you learn how to walk!

Dear Sunshine,

Happy 8 month old birthday!!!  On the 23rd you turned 8 months old.  It feels like I just started telling people you were 7 months old.  You are 4 months away from being a 1 year old.  That is freaking insane!  This past month you got not only your first but also your 2nd tooth.  They are growing so fast and are some nice chompers I would have to say.  You can now take bites out of food and everything.  We also went on a HUGE road trip which took up most of the last month.  You have now been to 23 states little girl.  That is more than most adults so I would say you are one lucky little lady.  You also said your first word this month which was mama!  I am a proud mama.  Oh and the day of your 8 month old birthday you decided you could stand up on the coffee table just by using your elbows.  Very smart little girl.  You are growing so much and your brain wheels are turning every day.  You are amazing, really.  

P.S.  Me and daddy think we know what we are getting you for your 1st birthday present!!!  =]

Dear Sunny Rae,

The other night we woke up and there was snow all over the ground.  It was mommy and daddys first snow of the winter and your first snow EVER!!!  I only let you play in it for about 5 mins because you have a cold right now, but you held it and of course ate some of it.  I think you thought it was at least a little bit interesting.  

Dear Sunny Rae,

This was your first time sitting in the shopping cart ‘like a big girl’.  You were thrilled for the first couple minutes then you just wanted us to hold you.  

Dear Sunshine,

Last night I laid you down in the normal spot where we lay and I nurse you to sleep.  After I didn’t lay down with you right away you started repeating “mamamamamama”.  You have said it before but this time I knew you associated the word with me.  I am overjoyed.  Today I was gone for over an hour and when I came back daddy had recorded this video of you looking over the seat where I normally sit repeating “mamamama”.  It was the best video ever to come back to after waiting in a waiting room for over an hour.  Little girl I am so proud that your first word was mama, you have no idea.  That makes me a very happy and proud mama.  I love you so much and can’t wait to hear all the other words that start popping out of your little mouth.
